About the Event

The Holyoke Latin Jazz Festival (HLJF) will present inexpensive live Latin jazz music to expand PassportHolyoke’s Discover Holyoke Day at the Winter Palace Theater. The festival will showcase local musicians along with world-class performers from New York City and/or other locations from outside the Pioneer Valley on Saturday October 13, 2012 from 4:00 PM to midnight. The theater owner, Paper City Brewery, will be encouraged to clean out and renovate the historic Winter Palace Theater for future live performances. This is in sync with the Redevelopment Authority’s Downtown Visioning Process to develop broad ideas for Holyoke’s Urban Renewal Plan to create a comprehensive downtown theater district along with the renovation of the Victory Theatre and the War Memorial.

Cost of Participation

Attendees pay $1 for a PassportHolyoke Discover Holyoke Day wristband to enjoy ongoing events throughout the city including the Latin Jazz Festival. Wristbands can be purchased in advance at Wistariahurst Museum. On October 13 wristbands can be purchased throughout the day at Wistariahurst Museum, Open Square, Heritage State Park, Victory Theatre & the Winter Palace.
